ATC box only shows file flight plan

Is this normal anytime I hit enter a big black box comes up and the only menu item is file flight plan is this correct?

Yes, that's normal.

OK thought I had read in the manual or someware that you hit enter and choose menu item so I just wanted to make sure I quess I will have to read up and figure it out Thanks Cameron

Short version.

This is where you put your departure and destination.

Choose the right frequency on com1

Choose clearance frequency first

then ground

It will tell you where to go with a yellow arrow

Then it will tell you to go on the tower frequency.
