Is the FMS function on the G1000 not suppose to be "functional"? I am trying to build a flight plan with the G1000, but am unable to. Is the only way to do a FP to upload it from X-planes flight planner? I am running XPX.

The FMS is functional. See Pg. 137 of the POH for instructions on entering a flight plan.
