This is all about the money. It's doubtful MS ever made much money on FS: we all know the real money spent is for third party stuff. So MS has just cut the the third party people out of the loop.

look and decide for yourself.....but a "sim: that can be flown with a game pad...and called a serious sim?

Not to sure how involved the controller setup will be so thos with throttle quas and switch boxes might be let down.....only time will tell.

thanks for that Andy, hadn't seen that one. Ha, a sim that can be flown well with a game pad is called a game. A game that uses gameplay elements from an ancient N64 classic like pilotwings is called 'unoriginal' and a 'flop'. As I saw somewhere...it's too simplistic/toy like for the simmers, and not exciting enough or original for the gamers. The only reason it might have a brief period of remote success is its freebie status. Then the tumbleweeds will take over..

I was thinking of downloading it just to see what the game will be like, and I can hopefully use my Saitek ST 90 for giggles. Will keep my serious swimming gear for my main love.....XP10!!!!!!! The scenery didn't really inspire me......XP9 seems better to me, mind you they are aiming at some low end spec pcs....2Ghz dual core with a basic video card.

Time will tell.
