Japo32 Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 Hello!I had another user with same problem. It is an issue of hardware-drivers of the graphic card of your computer. The only solution, is to update drivers or change hardware. For now you can play with it if just go to planemaker, load the plane and standard menu - misc objects, go to second tab (objects 2) and hit the clear button inside the cockpit_Transparencia.obj (the last one). And save the plane (please make a backup of the original one.if you still see the problem, just clear all the "Glass" type objects in plane maker and save.Hope it can fix your problem. Of course this is a patch. Not the real solve, that comes updating drivers or changing hardware.Have a nice year! Quote
iomagico Posted January 1, 2012 Author Report Posted January 1, 2012 Hi Javier,Thanks for your reply.Unluckly I had no chance to solve the problem.Performed every kind of test with plane-maker and tried to find a newer driver with no luck.My mac is a laptop so no way to change hardware.Nothing terrible because in a couple of month I play xplane on my main mac (27" i7 imac) and will go on enjoing your beautiful plane. Thanks again and happy new year, to you and to the whole xplane community.CheersAngelo Quote
Japo32 Posted January 2, 2012 Report Posted January 2, 2012 If you remove the object from plane maker you cannot see that object, so you wont see those white glasses. Ensure you save the file. Quote
iomagico Posted January 2, 2012 Author Report Posted January 2, 2012 (edited) If you remove the object from plane maker you cannot see that object, so you wont see those white glasses. Ensure you save the file.I removed the cockpit_Transparencia.obj (glass) and after removed all the glass objects (other 3 objects in the same page) but the only result is a (let's say) whiter screen. (see attached screenshot)Have to admit it's a very strange issue and for sure it's a graphic card related one. It's a pity, because, despite my macbook pro is quite aged (almost 6 years) I can say CRJ200 was fast enough to play with no problems.Other trick? philipp Posted January 2, 2012 Report Posted January 2, 2012 (edited) Unfortunately not. I think the white screens are a result of a graphics driver bug that won't let me map the PBO like I want it. As it is highly unlikely that Apple will release a graphics driver update for an almost 6 year old hardware, I fear you are out of luck with this.Philipp Edited January 2, 2012 by philipp Quote
Cameron Posted January 2, 2012 Report Posted January 2, 2012 This is the very reason for the hardware test we provide on the CRJ's product page. It is your same setup in our own testing that prompted us to create such a test! 1 Quote
iomagico Posted January 2, 2012 Author Report Posted January 2, 2012 I know Cameron, but as I wrote on my previous post this is not my main computer and I bought CRJ200 to play with my iMac 27 i7.Anyway I ran the test and the result was strange too and quite cryptic....Another blank screen;-)Happy New YearCheersAngelo Quote
