Needle shadow on Altimeter a little higher than needle itself

Minor aesthetic issue but caught my eye, the shadow for altimeter needle point a little higher than the needle itself, and seems proportional to the altitude, as it seems more obvious when at high altitude.

I will look at the sim later on today to see this, I can´t really tell from the pictures, I think the forum compression kills the necessary resolution.

I am not sure if we draw the shadow ourselves or if they are drawn by X-Plane, possibly via ambient occlusion.
