dotisopropyl Posted September 9, 2023 Report Posted September 9, 2023 (edited) I've been trying to apply many of the best practices shown in Tim's video (below), and the first thing he does when powering up the SR22 is turn on BAT2 and check for the proper volts and amps to the Essential Bus. However, when I do this — running X-Plane 12.05r1 on Mac using Rosetta 2 — the engine instruments sidebar is blank on the PFD. (see screenshot) Edit: when the MFD is powered up, all engine instruments work as expected. Additionally, I don't get any of the annunciators (ALT2, MAN PRESS, FUEL FLOW, etc.) that he sees during the start, takeoff, and climb. I know this video is ~3 years old, and using X-Plane 11, but … has this functionality been lost? Or is my SR22TN G1000 not working as expected? Edited September 9, 2023 by dotisopropyl Quote
dotisopropyl Posted September 11, 2023 Author Report Posted September 11, 2023 Trying my own debugging here… updating to the X-Plane 12.06r3 beta does not resolve the issue turning off SVT in /Aircraft/X-Aviation/SR22 Series/TorqueSim SR22 (or TN)/plugins/sr_systems/settings/settings.cfg resolves the issue — CAS messages and the engine sidebar appear normal disabling/removing my only other installed plugin, HeadShake by SimCoders, does not resolve the issue disabling the Gizmo64 tray does not resolve the issue however; if the Gizmo64 tray, preferences window, or any other overlay is displayed — the issue is resolved, but only while the other window is active (see screenshots) Turning off SVT is acceptable — for now — but the synthetic vision G1000 is one of the primary reasons I bought this airplane. Please make sure this is added to the list of bugs/issues with the current v2.0.1 build! I'm open to any other suggestions of things to try… 1 Quote
Coop Posted September 11, 2023 Report Posted September 11, 2023 This is an issue with X-Plane, certain graphics cards, and the SVS system. Keeping SVS disabled is the only option for now. Quote
