XP-Pilot Posted July 24, 2023 Report Posted July 24, 2023 Hello I have a question about the trim of the BN-2 Islander. I use the "Bravo Throttle Qudrant" from Honeycomb. However, the sensitivity of the trim wheel is way too low. Is there any way to adjust the sensitivity of the trim wheel. I would be very grateful for a tip. Greetings Ludger
XP-Pilot Posted August 2, 2023 Author Report Posted August 2, 2023 Too bad, no one has an idea about this ?
Coop Posted August 4, 2023 Report Posted August 4, 2023 Sensitivity of your hardware trim wheel isn't something we have control over. I'd recommend checking your calibration and seeing if X-Plane provides any options, but I'm not familiar with that in particular.
XP-Pilot Posted August 5, 2023 Author Report Posted August 5, 2023 Hello I have found a solution. in the file "BN2-Islander.acf" there is the line "P acf/_elev_trim_time 15.000000000" if you decrease the value (for example) 2 or 3 then the trim wheel reacts much better. Please excuse my English. I can only write through a translator because I don't know English.
Coop Posted August 5, 2023 Report Posted August 5, 2023 I would not recommend changing that setting, as it can cause significant issues with the autopilot response tuning. If it isn't causing you other issues, you can keep it, but just something to be aware of.
XP-Pilot Posted August 7, 2023 Author Report Posted August 7, 2023 OK, I had not considered the autopilot. I'll give it a try.
