OHE Posted May 13, 2023 Report Posted May 13, 2023 May I ask what the solution is? I use VPC-Rudder-Pedals and I have assigned "Left toe brake" and "Right toe brake" to it's brake-pedals, each with "Linear response curve". Everytime I press the toe brakes after I released the parking brake, it is toggled on again. This happens with X-Plane 12.05r1 (Windows 10), CL650 v1.7 (ZINK disabled), and CL650 v1.8 (beta 20, ZINK enabled). I also use data output #14 "Gear & brakes" like mentioned above, to display the values of the brakes. Steps to produce this error: Start CL650 in X-Plane 12-> data output #14 shows : "gear: 1.0000, wbrak: 0.000, lbrak: 10.250, rbrak: 10.250, wbrak: 0.0000". The parking brake handle is also shaking (left-/right-movement). "Chocks out" via hand signals -> data output #14 shows : "gear: 1.0000, wbrak: 0.000, lbrak: 0.000, rbrak: 0.0000, wbrak: 0.0000" Startup the plane -> data output #14 shows : "gear: 1.0000, wbrak: 0.488, lbrak: 0.488, rbrak: 0.488, wbrak: 0.488". Pressing down the toe brakes -> data output #14 shows : "gear: 1.0000, wbrak: 0.972, lbrak: 0.972, rbrak: 0.972, wbrak: 0.972". Releasing the toe brakes -> data output #14 shows : "gear: 1.0000, wbrak: 0.488, lbrak: 0.488, rbrak: 0.488, wbrak: 0.488". Pressing joystick button to release the parking brake -> the plane moves, data output #14 shows : "gear: 1.0000, wbrak: 0.000, lbrak: 0.000, rbrak: 0.0000, wbrak: 0.0000" Pressing toe brakes -> plane stops, parking brake is on and data output #14 shows : "gear: 1.0000, wbrak: 0.13, lbrak: 0.13, rbrak: 0.13, wbrak: 0.13" Repeat steps 6 and 7, but using the brakes by pressing "b" on the keyboard, instead of the toe brakes. CAS always reports "Parking brake on". Quote
Pils Posted May 14, 2023 Report Posted May 14, 2023 Do the 3D cockpit pedals match the movement of your physical ones? Quote
OHE Posted May 14, 2023 Author Report Posted May 14, 2023 Yes, they do. Pressing down the toe-brakes, the pedals move forward. Upon release, the pedals move backwards. Same, when I press/release "b" on keyboard. Quote
OHE Posted May 14, 2023 Author Report Posted May 14, 2023 Good news. It has been a Layer 8 problem all along. I recently added the Thrustmaster Airbus A320 joystick and throttle to my system and one of its default settings caused that the parking brake was always set on. Since I do not use the A320 joystick with the CL650, this never occured to me, my apologies. Quote
Tony Worrall Posted December 29, 2023 Report Posted December 29, 2023 I had the problem of Parking Brake staying ON everytime I used Toe Brakes on my Saitek Rudder pedals. I am using MS FSX on Win 10 and found this solution Goto Options - Settings - Controls Select Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals in drop down menu Select Simple Controls not the Advance Controls Set the Sensitivity Slider all the way to the Right Set the Null Zone slider at about 5 Goto Control Axes Set Brake (left axis) to the X Axis and tick the Reverse Box Set Brake (right axis) to the Y Axis and tick the Reverse Box Hope this works for you Regards Tony Quote
