FPS Problems

Hi!

I have some problems with my fps when using CRJ-200. Usually my fps is around 60-120 with basic xplane aircrafts, but with crj-200 i get around 20-30fps, wich isn't bad but it's still no as smooth as i would like, plus the PFD and ND have some stutter too. The weird thing is that sometimes, with same settings and weather and airport i get solid over 40fps. I just don't understand how one time it works like magic and next time it hardly works at all.

My specs are:

Xplane SP3

Processor: Intel Core Quad CPU q6600 @ 2,40GHz

Memory: 4,00 GB RAM

Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 896mb

Windows 7 64bit

It's not the newest of computers, but run every new game just fine.

Hi, there,

It's a number of factors for the jumping FPS, including:

Where your current location in sim is, what page in the FMS you're on, and whether your displays are on.

The Q6600 is a relatively decent CPU, but using the older tech in comparison to those like Sandy Bridge. The biggest bottleneck here is likely to be the CPU itself.

As a tip, try and stay off the LEGs page while in flight on your FMC unless you're actually using it. This can eliminate some stutter if you're experiencing any, as the page constantly refreshes navdata to check distances, etc.
