alfa108 Posted October 4, 2011 Report Posted October 4, 2011 Hello All -Sorry for the newbie question. I just purchased the T-34C Mentor by JRollon and I have to say it's by far my favorite plane. Wonderful detail and the flight model seems to be good. The only thing I would like to add is an HSI w/ DME and a S-TEC 55 autopilot. Is this possible to do with a purchased plane? If anyone knows I would really appreciate a reply.Thank you! Quote
Hampster Posted October 4, 2011 Report Posted October 4, 2011 Well if the T-34C mentor has a 3D cockpit (I assume it does) then You'd have to contact Jrollon to assign a new reigon for the instrument. Or... (I am not the expert you need for this) You could open the aircraft in Plane-maker and go to menu standard > Panel : 2D. then you can replace a certain instrument that you may not want and go to the left side menu and select your instrument, drag and drop into the old reigon where the old instrument has been, and save. I know you are a rookie so you may not understand, but it is worth a go to share this idea. (I am a rookie myself at all the 3D stuff) Happy flying,Hampster Quote

Thank you, I'll give it a try! Quote
namaui Posted October 4, 2011 Report Posted October 4, 2011 The T-34C does not use panel regions for instruments as they are all 3D. The only way to add or remove certain components is to be proficient in 3D design software (Blender or AC3D with the appropriate X-Plane plugins) or contact the author about a custom cockpit. Quote
Hampster Posted October 4, 2011 Report Posted October 4, 2011 @ namaui, I think you are right.... The T-34C mentor must be out of this world detailed to not use texture reigons from the default planemaker instruments though. I guess i'd have to see for myself! Quote
alfa108 Posted October 7, 2011 Author Report Posted October 7, 2011 It is extremely detailed and it explains why I haven't been able to add an instrument. I'll contact the designer and see if he can add a couple things. I must say though it's a wonderful plane to fly! Quote
