How to engage reverse thrust Saab 340a

I have a reverse button mapped on my joystick that works will all my other (with rev thrust) aircraft but does not work on the Saab 304. This means that my only option on landing is to use brakes. Can you give me some hits / clues about what I need to do to overcome this.
