kjsf18747 Posted March 5, 2022 Report Posted March 5, 2022 (edited) Hello, I am running a lower end cpu (i5-3570) but can still run most other addons like the ffa320 just fine. The CL650 runs well initially until I power on the avionics at which point the cpu usage goes to 100 unfortunately rendering the sim unplayable. I have followed the steps in this post which helped a little but I was wondering if there are any other ways I can try to reduce X-Plane's cpu usage? Pils Posted March 8, 2022 Report Posted March 8, 2022 As you’re using a CPU at the very minimum of requirements I think you’d be expected to be using graphics settings (especially those that impact CPU, e.g. number of objects, shadows, reflections, etc.) set to the lowest level/off. Also, minimise/eliminate all other applications running on the computer other than the sim, e.g. web browsers, flight trackers, anti-virus, etc. Any room for change there?
kjsf18747 Posted March 18, 2022 Author Report Posted March 18, 2022 These things did help, thanks for the suggestions. However in the end I decided it was time to upgrade my system. Cheers
