Hi there,  I’m having trouble loading the desired approach at the airport I wish to fly in to. When entering a new flight plan I can often only load the approach of the previous airport through the procedure button. It seems to lock onto a particular airport and not allow you to load the new approach at a new airport you wish to fly. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers, Sam

Hi Sam,

The LR X1000 will only let approaches be set for the determined airports based on the flight plan. If there are multiple airports in your flight plan beyond 2, then it will only let you pick the approaches from one of them (either the last, or second airport, I don't remember at the moment). If the right airport isn't currently showing for the approaches to activate, make sure there aren't any other airports in the X1000's flight plan.

Thanks Coops. It still seems to lock onto certain airports regardless of what is in the flight plan. For example I have cleared the flight plan and only have YHOT as waypoint in the current flight plan. When I go to load the approach at Mt Hotham it won’t let me clear Moorabin from the procedure menu, which was the airport I last flew an approach at.

Cheers

Hm, does it still do that if you go to menu -> delete flight plan, then Direct-To the airport you want to do an approach at? That should hopefully clear it out. (This is just an unfortunate problem with the underlying X1000... we are looking into alternatives, but that is a long-term goal)
