Javier, you had any thoughts about making any scenery - airports etc?

Perhaps a wide coverage of major airports in moderate detail would sell well in x-plane and be interesting to make?

Something like "Major US airports" (KJFK, KLAX, KDEN, FSFO, KMIA...) or "Major European Airports" (EGLL, LFPG, EDDF, ...) etc

I don't know how interesting you'd find that compared to aircraft, but it's something sorely missing.

I can't speak for Javier on this, but, from my own experience in scenery design I can tell you that a hell of a lot of research goes into designing an airport well... For starters you need a bunch of pictures of every building, something that you won't find a lot of on the net. There's a lot of spotters out there, but few seem to care about anything but airplanes... Go figure

Access to the airport is often difficult in its own, making it nearly impossible to get good shots of important facades that will be visible to the pilot sitting on the tarmac. This might be easier at smaller airfields but I highly doubt any of the ones you're referring to will let you inside the perimeter. Not to mention actually getting there in the first place, and the cost involved in doing so...

There are numerous airports made for X-Plane available already, but if you buy some of the high quality MSFS sceneries you can use a converter called FS2XPlane to convert them into the X-Plane format, with varying results.

But if Javier would decide to make an airport, I'm sure he would be more than capable. He's a real artist, and buildings are mostly simple boxes with textures attached

well.. not too much to say Dan, said. I tried to start building an airport but the thing is the references. I can do a good thing or a bad thing depending on the references. I started looking for a local Airport on my country. A small one. No way. No photos. Only google maps.. so is too much inventive stuff.

Converting them from fsx is a good way to do them right now.

Other thing could be VFR stuff of a country. Make little villages and put all in their right places, with all the roads, industries, etc... could be. don't know. Right now I am waiting for the release of the Seamax. Then I will end the CRJ.. and after that who knows my movement?

only the outside for most buildings but some i could get inside
