N1K Posted January 9, 2022 Report Posted January 9, 2022 (edited) How are we supposed to be telling the thrust reference to derate a bit for ice protection in flight? I was in N1 Climb, entered icing conditions, turned on the cowl ice protection and over temped the engines. Went into the TRS PERF page and it wouldn't let me change the ice / bleed reference lines to tell the system I was turning them on. Edited January 10, 2022 by skiselkov Quote
skiselkov Posted January 10, 2022 Report Posted January 10, 2022 The ENG BLEED line on that page is only informational. The engines will readjust lower after a bit to try and pull out of the red. If that doesn't happen, you can set a lower N1 target in "TGT" (LSK R3). Then push LSK R3 to activate the reduced TGT value and that will get the ATS to pull back even further. Quote
