TBM 900 engine fails whilst using time compression

Doing a flight in Flight Sim Economy from MMPG to MMZP

With approx 3/4 fuel load i climb @ 125Kias at 100% torque.

At 4000ft (~ 300AGL) i open the inertial separator as torque drops under 90%

I manage torque to remain under ~98% as the sep opens.

Once at FL280 cruising with ITT ~ 790c flaps up, gear up, sep open i engage time compression (4x) to speed things up a little.

Within a few minutes the the crashbar is observed in the down position and the engine shuts down immediately and catches fire.
Immediately following this is a warning to keep ITT at or below 800c during cruise.
I had been monitoring torque, Ng and ITT for several minutes at ~88%, 100.4% and 785c, and these figures are what was also observed seconds before the event, just before the displays turned off.

Just completed same flight, same parameters with no compression and everything is fine.

Tried again as a sanity check and to capture the log with similar parameters other than less load and less fuel.

At 2021-12-13 19:51:16 this start to go pear shaped in the log.

According to the TBM log the parameters at this time were E1 Torq = 606.15, E1 NG = 100.22 and E1 ITT = 787.57

any thoughts on how this could be fixed?
I like a bit of a fly, but when I'm time poor i like to speed things up once in cruise.
