G5 V2.0 blank on M20 Collection

I have the G5 V1.0 installed in one of the Mooneys from the M20 collection which worked fine. 

Now I installed the G5 V2.0 using the Installer as explained in https://afmsim.com/g5-integration-guide/ 
for "C:\X-Plane 11\Aircraft\X-Aviation\M20 Collection\M20R Ovation II G5"

Since it did not install the g5.cfg file , I copied the one from the G5-C172 folder but did not change anything in it.

But now the G5s are both blank in the M20R. When I click on one of the 2 G5s then I get a 2D popup of the PFD (NOT the HSI, no matter which G5 i click onto) that actually works. But I'd like to use the integrated 3D G5s. 

How can I solve this ?
