xander787 Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 I'm running X-Plane version 9.70 and just downloaded the CRJ-200. Having read through the tutorial pdf and watched the tutorial video as well, I'm having trouble getting the displays to work in the plane. When I start with the pdf tutorial, after turning on the master battery, it instructs to get the external gpu for power. I popup the FMS but it doesn't seem to be on. It's blank and I don't know what to do to make it active. When I tried using the video and setting up the APU for power and then pressing the AC button, the displays still do not turn on. Even when I tell x-plane to just start the plane with engines and stuff running I get no displays. Am I doing something wrong? I know I must be making some stupid mistake somewhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks. Quote
Japo32 Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 It seems you have an activation issue, if with engines running you only see radios and both central displays. If so please contact x-aviation sending them a ticket. If you don't see any display then something was wrong with installation. Did you uninstall the tester first? Did you delete or moved any folder? xander787 Posted June 27, 2011 Author Report Posted June 27, 2011 Yeah I did install the tester first and that said it would work. I haven't gotten any prompts for me to activate anything, is there something I'm supposed to do to make it activate? Quote
Japo32 Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 Did you uninstall the tester before instating the CRJ? Quote
Cameron Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 Assuming you are on Windows, it sounds as though you are missing a necessary module. My guess would be an improper install of OpenAL. Please download and install the following, then try loading the CRJ again: http://connect.creativelabs.com/openal/Downloads/oalinst.zip Quote
xander787 Posted June 28, 2011 Author Report Posted June 28, 2011 After both downloading OpenAl, making sure that the tester was removed, and re-installing the plane, it is now working fine and the displays load up just fine. Thanks a lot! ;D Quote
