Sander Datema Posted July 8, 2021 Report Posted July 8, 2021 (edited) I think since version 11.53 or so I can't use the TBM-900 anymore using Metal on the Mac. See screenshots for what I mean (notice the menu on the left and the lever on the right). Things I tried: - remove plugins and custom scenery - switch between windowed mode and full screen Turning Metal off solves the problem, but for performance reasons that's not really an option for me. Edit: after a while X-Plane crashed by itself, something with the TBM according to the log, so added that log as well. Sander Datema Posted July 9, 2021 Author Report Posted July 9, 2021 (edited) Now this is interesting. If I turn on HDR for visual effects in the graphics settings of X-Plane everything is fine (with Metal). One step lower gives the trouble mentioned above. Edited July 9, 2021 by Sander Datema Quote
Goran_M Posted July 10, 2021 Report Posted July 10, 2021 I did bring this up with Saso yesterday, and he thinks it's some kind of driver compatibility issue. Turning on HDR could definitely be the solution. We'll continue to investigate. Also, it appears this is isolated to some Mac's. 1 Quote

Goran_M Posted July 11, 2021 Report Posted July 11, 2021 Have you tried turning down your settings? 4GB is a little low, and there are quite a few high resolution textures in the TBM. Can you check how much VRAM your GPU is using with the TBM loaded? Quote
Sander Datema Posted August 1, 2021 Author Report Posted August 1, 2021 Sorry for the late reply, I was away (vacation) for a few weeks. I'll check your suggestions. Quote
