ATC audio cutting in and out in M20R

I'm having some audio problems with the Mooney M20R pack.

Basically I can hear ATC audio, but it keeps cutting in and out so I only hear fragments or individual words at a time.

I've tested other planes, for example the 172SP with G1000 and it works fine. Also, the Mooney with G1000 panel works fine. It's the standard Mooney M20R with GMA 340 audio panel that seem to have this audio issue.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Most likely this is a conflict between overrides, and the audio panel is turned off. You can turn on the audio panel using the left-most knob.

I've isolated the problem to the GTN 750 RealityXP GPS that I installed in the Mooney M20R II. I'm not sure how to resolve this though since it replaces the regular audio panel. Happy for any advice.

Turning on the Audio panel, then switching to the GTN should work. The persistent systems should leave the audio panel on on future flights.

That didn't seem to work - I tried binding a hotkey to toggle power to audio panel, but it had no effect. Pop out mode of the 750 didn't seem to work either as it still seems to conflict with the audio panel (audio panel light is flickering when 750 is enabled).
