CaptainSpaulding Posted March 12, 2021 Report Posted March 12, 2021 Is it possible to do an asymmetric plane in XP? By asymmetric I mean the fuselage, as in this Dieselpunk painting: Or asymmetric wings, as in the Rutan Boomerang: ..or the Blohm & Voss BV-141: ...or BV-111: Quote
ilias.tselios Posted March 12, 2021 Report Posted March 12, 2021 Maybe. You can build the symmetric part as normal, and add a misc body, or engine nacelle. Quote

Yes, this is definitively a way to go... But what about asymmetrical fuselage? I don't think that there is a way to do that... Infact, a part some artistic painting, I don't even think that a planes with asymmetrical fuselage really exists... Thanks for you suggestion. Quote

In dieselpunk terms, it's just a crossover between train and plane. Which is, somehow, cool to see. From my point of view, it's just a speculative curiosity... I don't really have any intention of making a plane of that kind. It's just for fun. 1 Quote
Jeffory Posted May 10, 2021 Report Posted May 10, 2021 Yeah, you can't model an asymmetric fuselage in PM. But you can get "close enough" then model whatever you want in the OBJ. Asymmetric wings could be done with misc. wings easily enough though. I was going to give the Boomerang a go myself, until I heard VSkyLabs is already on it. 1 Quote
