Cameron Posted June 9, 2011 Report Posted June 9, 2011 Hi, Folks,With the recent release of 1.1.1 it seems that most of all the crash issues have now been resolved (with the exception of a few plugin conflicts). We consider 1.1.1 to be very stable for flying, and are happy with the results thus far! Because of this, I have closed the CTD report threads for both Windows and Mac.I have started new threads for support based on the following:Please read the following very carefully! If you are still experiencing a crash with version 1.1.1 installed this is very likely due to a plug-in conflict and is NOT the CRJ being unstable! We are working closely with numerous developers and plugins to try and assist with creating workarounds for making other plug-ins compatible with the CRJ as well. In most cases other plug-ins work just fine. However, there are a select few plug-ins that have consistently been known to cause errors (like XPUIPC being in use at the same time as the CRJ).Here's what to do if you are experiencing a crash and have 1.1.1 installed:1. Download the X-Plane Demo Installer as follows:Mac - http://dev.x-plane.c...nstallerMac.zipWindows - http://dev.x-plane.c...llerWindows.zipLinux - http://dev.x-plane.c...tallerLinux.zip2. Install the X-Plane Demo to a folder on your desktop.3. When done, open the CRJ installer and install it to this demo version of X-Plane[4. Open the X-Plane demo and the fresh install of the CRJ and see what happens from there.Doing the above will ensure you can test whether the problem really is the CRJ and our programming as a bug, or if you have a conflict with another plugin.Did your aircraft still crash after doing the above steps? If so, please proceed to the following topics:Mac - http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php?/topic/2073-mac-crash-issues-with-111-post-here/Windows - http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php?/topic/2074-windows-crash-issues-with-111-post-here/Linux - http://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php?/topic/2075-linux-crash-issues-with-111-post-here/Did your CRJ 1.1.1 install now work in the new install you did after following the above steps? If so, please proceed as follows!:If your CRJ-200 now works after the suggest steps above in this post, this means you have a plug-in that is not part of the CRJ-200 package that is conflicting with the aircraft. This conflict would be the source of your crashes, and now we'll need to figure out which plug-in causes the issue. We can do so by doing the following steps:In your ORIGINAL X-Plane install (not the fresh install we just did for the Demo version) that was causing CRJ crashes, please:1. Remove ALL plugins from your X-Plane/Resources/Plugins folder, except for:Mac - vascore, shrinkwrap.plugin, and gizmo.plugin, XPLM.framework, XPLM.shlb, XPWidgets.framework, XPWidgets.shlb.Windows - vascore, shrinkwrap.plugin, and gizmo.plugin, XPLM.dll, XPWidgets.dll.Linux - vascore, shrinkwrap.plugin, and gizmo.plugin2. Now open your main X-Plane that was originally crashing with all plug-ins (except for those listed above) now removed.3. If the CRJ now works, you may begin adding back your plugins one by one. Eventually you'll find the one that's causing your CRJ to crash. When you figure out which plug-in is causing conflict please feel free to post it here. We'd love to work with you and other developers in resolving these issues so everyone may enjoy the plug-ins of their choosing without conflict!
deltapilot90 Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Is this still 1.4.0? I downloaded the file on X Aviation after the green light was given roughly 2 hours ago and my FMS status says "1.4 e-065d16". Hopefully it is 1.4.0 which can explain the crashes Ive been getting.Tristan
