[SOLVED] No function keys at pop up FMS

Hi, since i have installed V1.1 i have no frames at the pop up displays.

The problem is the FMS, because no function keys are visible at pop up FMS.

How to solve this??

Did you by any chances remove or rename the display frame?

Have a look at Your-X-Plane-Dir/JRollonPlanes/CRJ-200/

there should be a file called FMS.tga

if this file is missing or renamed, no frame will be visible.

Hi,

so there are 2 files in there. Named Display Frame and FMS. These files are True Vision Targe Pictures. You can open it with picture viewer.

But no file named fms.tga

???

Which OS do you use?

Are you sure the file is really named "FMS" and not "FMS.tga", or is your File Manger hiding the extension?

That means the .tga file extension is there, but your OS is hiding it...that's plenty normal.

Okay, this looks normal as it's the standard setting on Windows XP. The setting is called "Dateinamenerweiterung bei bekannten Dateitypen ausblenden" in the German version.

But nevermind, what you are seeing is perfectly normal.

Habe nichts verändert, bei Version 1 hatte ich das Problem nicht. Jetzt habe ich 1.1.1. normal runtergeladen und installiert.

It turned out that the problem was caused by moving folders around after the installer finished.

So this is a general advice to ALL:

Please leave all files and folders in place where the installer puts them. Moving the supporting folders like the "JRollonPlanes"-folder somewhere else will cause any kind of problem like missing textures, being unable to load an airport, etc...

Hi Phil,

may I ask what the logic about the JRollon folder residing in the top directory of x-plane is? Since you install a seperate x-aviation folder in the aircraft folder anyway, couldn't it also be in there? That would be less irritating for newbies or people who generally do not like to fool around in the file structure and have no clue about it, but still happen to move stuff around in there;-)

People are even MORE prone to move aircraft folders around.

Ok.. people move folders because thy don't like the places wher they are..... but can't they think that was the reason the plane is not working for them is because they moved things before posting their issues?

Mama says "still don't tauch the cake!" But they cannot wait, haha
