M20 Collection

[Mooney Rocketeer]

I am a newbie to X-Plane, but a 24 year Mooney Pilot. Just downloaded AFM M20 collection this week.  Running X-plane V11.5

I am getting what looks like discharged orange air bag in cockpit which blocks my view of the instrument panel for both the Acclaim and the Ovation, and I am not seeing scenery outside.

Any Suggestions?

Hello Rocketeer!  I too am a real world Mooney (Bravo) pilot.  If I'm understanding you correctly, I think you're seeing the virtual pilot's face from the inside.  I'm using Track IR and when the plane loads up, I can see the inside of the virtual pilot's face.  I can adjust my center point with Track IR but still when I move my head around the virtual pilot's face frequently impedes my view.  I'm trying to figure out how to disable the virtual pilot so he's not there.  There's a lady (presumably his [my??] wife) in the right seat which doesn't bother me but there should be a way to toggle the virtual pilot to off or just have him appear during external shots but not from within the cockpit.  Any help from others on this issue?  Thanks!

@Bravo Pilot This sounds like the plugin isn't loading as well (as the plugin is responsible for hiding the pilot object when in an inside view), the instructions posted before should help:

I love the M20TN and am hoping to buy one some day.  Until then, I'll toy with the simulation. 

I've been unable to figure out how to use the oxygen system.  No matter what I do, I block out above 15k feet over time (view goes black).

How do I use oxygen so I can visit 25k feet?

(There is a work around to control the aircraft when blind: pop out the G1000s in a separate window...They continue to operate (along with keys) and provide situational awareness and AP control)

The oxygen knob is located on the left sidewall near where the pilot's knee would be. The O2 PSI gauge is also located above the knob.
