AVITAB not responding

I've got the AVITAB plugin installed and it works fine as a stand alone feature in all of my aircraft, including the SR20.

But....

For some reason I can't get the AVITAB  on the right hand side of the SR20 cockpit to work.  None of the commands on the AVITAB responding.  I've switched on AVIONICS but still nothing.
