medfox Posted May 25, 2011 Report Posted May 25, 2011 Hello! After a long time searching why my CRJ suddenly changes the throttle I found the Magic Mouse is the problem, because very often it recognizes a mouse wheel action by touching the mouse which results in changing the throttle in X-Plane.The solution for that would be simple - just deactivate the mouse wheel inside CRJs plugin (which are only 3 lines of code, and maybe an option somewhere if the wheel should become inactive when starting the CRJ).Would it be possible to get a "disable the mouse wheel" feature into CRJs upcoming update? Thanks,Bernhard.
woweezowee Posted May 25, 2011 Report Posted May 25, 2011 Basically that's an xplane feature, not special to the CRJ. But it seems to be possible to disable it via a Gizmo plugin:http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=39419&view=findpost&p=578237
philipp Posted May 25, 2011 Report Posted May 25, 2011 I'll keep that suggestion in mind for future development. Personally I don't have this problem since on my mouse it takes quite an amount of rotation against a resistance and a noticeable click-click-click to turn it, so i never accidentally set the throttles. However, I know it is different with the Mighty Mouse - which I find pretty awkward to scroll.Philipp
medfox Posted May 26, 2011 Author Report Posted May 26, 2011 Thanks for the reply. Hopefully that will be included in the future because this great bird (the reason I switched to XPlane again) looses a lot of it beauty with the Magic Mouse. In the meantime I gonna write a simple plugin to disable the wheel in Xplane by myself. Cheers,Bernhard.
Japo32 Posted May 26, 2011 Report Posted May 26, 2011 Magic mouse is nice, but I have to change to a normal one sometimes because I need the middle mouse button click option for 3d studio max.Maybe you don't have to make any program. Just change the mouse while flying.
