Purchased mine last night, did a short test flight over low terrain and medium scenery and all. Didn't change any of my prefs, and noticed no framerate hit at all.

I think maybe on lower end systems it might, but run the tester, on my (see sig) system, nothing changed :D Well optimized.

I love it, it's built to perfection and the handling/performance feels great and heavy. Craftsmanship, and great tuts too. Lots of work, please support X-Aviation/JRollon if you want an aircraft of this class, it is well worth it.

My only 'tickle' is sound from the outside. Spinning up the turbines feels "steppy" and doing a fly by view sounds weird. The fly by feels like an xplane shortcoming, and the steppy'ness of the throttle up may be performance (although I don't see it in the framerate or cpu usage), but these issues are really minor.

If you go from twin turbine props to this, like me, it's a heckuva learning curve though :D
