Skymatix Posted August 13, 2020 Report Posted August 13, 2020 Good day all, I have noticed that the real cirrus SR-22 website specifications, specifically the useful load and the one given, with this aircraft add-on, differs quite a bit. Will someone please be so kind as to explain the missing 423lbs/196kg in the useful load section and why we cannot use it as published. I am obviously missing something and I have no idea what it might be. Thank you in advance Quote
Cameron Posted August 13, 2020 Report Posted August 13, 2020 The aircraft modeled are the SR22 G3 series. You sure you're looking at that? Their website would only show the CURRENT models, which I believe are now G6 and do have a larger useful load. Each generation tends to increase the useful load, but the G5 especially did after a gross weight increase and some re-design in the structure of the aircraft. A fairly good article about that and the flying differences in the G3 vs G5 is here: https://www.flyingmag.com/aircraft/pistons/generation-5-cirrus-sr22/ 1 Quote
