ephendi Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 Hello,i'm disapointed ... crj-200 still from point of view have "baby problems" and cause x-plane crash to deskptop on MacOS X (snow leopard). Yesterday crash in middle of fly, when i touch FMC. Today crash in this situation. CRJ-200 stand on appron. When change other airport, x-plane crash. when i try this with other airplane (B787 dreamliner), no problem. I reinstall CRJ-200 and problems still.I remove all plugins (except vascore) - crash. Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS)Exception Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x00000000003ff000Crashed Thread: 6Before airplane crash when i change livery, after reinstall this problem is solved. I attach crash log.X-Plane_2011-05-18-082725_MacProHome.txt

ephendi Posted May 18, 2011 Author Report Posted May 18, 2011 Yes, i try remove all plugins excepted:xsqawkboxXPWidgetsXPLMvascorePluginAdminPlugins removed are:xpushback xacarsairport-nav_macWith this configuration seems works fine. I try add plugin by plugin and restart x-plane, will report.
Japo32 Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 Not reading the crash, but it seems that is a problem with memory. What is your system?

It's not the CRJ plugin or the vascore plugin crashing, it's X-Plane crashing when trying to asynchronously load textures. Maybe you are running out of memory, when using the CRJ (which has highly detailed textures using quite some memory) in a highly detailed scenery. This topic has been covered before. Sceneries containing errors or sceneries with just high memory demand might work well with other planes, but become a problem with a highly complex aircraft like the CRJ.There is nothing we can do about that.Philipp
ephendi Posted May 18, 2011 Author Report Posted May 18, 2011 On my other mac (at work i try) have 8GM memory and 1GB VRAM memory. What's supposed memory, i can expand only RAM not VRAM

Now it works but what I se is that the video card sometimes is not really able to work like it could work. Example: we have a very complex LEBL conversion complex like the FSX LEBL. I have with photo textures, highest resolution, no compress, shades on etc round 50-60fps - in the moment I turn to the airport and it starts rendering the objects the framerate drops to 20 or less - but what is curious the video card only works then with 25% or less. Before turning to the airport it was round 60% - I do not know why and I do not understand how open gl works but it seems that some objects and or textures starts blocking the open gl so that the video card performance decrease. Javier Cortez had once a similar issue in his UFMC he had problems with fonts he used. If you started using the UFMC the framerate drops to 19 - funny thing was if I opened another graphic app "overlay editor" the framerate increases again....Javier Cortez told me that he had an issue with open gl. ok this is off topic, I write it to learn more about it and to tell that it is very often the scenry which is blocking the framerate - it does not matter if you have the fastest viedeo card or not.Regards Tom
Japo32 Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 from the experience I got.. it not only vram.. or graphic card. You can have a great graphic card, but if you don't have a good CPU and good Memory RAM and good Mother board.. then You can have bottle necks. Everytime I ask myself why I didn't choose another business appart from computers ;D
ephendi Posted May 28, 2011 Author Report Posted May 28, 2011 I'm not shure, this was simply RAM or VRAM problem. I try it on my works MacPro with 14 GB RAM and 1 GB VRam and problem was with high resolution too. I try find problem and BINGO. Problem was with xsqawkbox. I was in setting resolution extreme. I removed all of third party CSL and set resolution to normal and voila! X-plane now works with CRJ-200 on reendeirng - extreme setting without problem. Next go back to my home mac pro with 6 GB RAM and 1VRAM and no problem. ATI 5770HD. XSqawkbox and CSL settings was problem.
