Marius_B Posted June 8, 2020 Report Posted June 8, 2020 Also, after you start the X-Plane, go to Plugins - TBM900 - Configure visual effects....and select all the Ticks and Rain&Ice to High Hopefuly it will work After you play with the rain effects, try to upgrade the X-Plane to Beta and see if Vulkan increases your framerate Quote
Marius_B Posted June 8, 2020 Report Posted June 8, 2020 The version is OK, don't worry, is the 'official one, if you want to try the 11.50b10, go to the folder of X-Plane11, start the X-Plane 11 Installer and select the box for Beta versions Quote
Marius_B Posted June 8, 2020 Report Posted June 8, 2020 The new Beta version is changing the Graphics Engine to use the new Vulkan drivers which are more modern and the sim should become much smoother. Being a beta, not all the add-ons are yet working, they need to be updated, librain being one of them, due to using some 'undocumented' graphics features. Anyhow, at starting X-Plane, in the settings you can choose to use Vulkan or not, as I shown you before. Please check the attachments, so you can try to get the Beta Quote
James Demchuk Posted June 8, 2020 Author Report Posted June 8, 2020 nothing, and the rain and ice are on high Quote
Marius_B Posted June 8, 2020 Report Posted June 8, 2020 Did you change the Visual Effects to maximum? Also, in the plugins, did you set the visuals for the TBM? Quote
James Demchuk Posted June 8, 2020 Author Report Posted June 8, 2020 i set the visual effects to medium and in the plugins the rain and ice are set to high Quote
Marius_B Posted June 8, 2020 Report Posted June 8, 2020 Just try to set like mine, even if it will become slow, at least we will know if it fixes the issue Quote
Marius_B Posted June 8, 2020 Report Posted June 8, 2020 Just now, with Vulkan disabled and very hard rain Quote
Marius_B Posted June 8, 2020 Report Posted June 8, 2020 If your hardware configuration is not very good, try to run at a lower resolution, it might help. At least we know that it works. Try to play with the settings, adjust them little bit by little bit and find a reasonable compromise. Unfortunately, the flight simulators are very demanding on hardware resources.... Imagine what will be with the coming Microsoft Flight Simulator.... Quote
Marius_B Posted June 8, 2020 Report Posted June 8, 2020 Also, if you are using an Nvidia card, try the Beta version, using the Vulkan, you will not have for now the rain effects, but it might improve the smoothness of the X-Plane Quote
James Demchuk Posted June 8, 2020 Author Report Posted June 8, 2020 gotcha thanks for the help today I appreciate it Quote
Marius_B Posted June 8, 2020 Report Posted June 8, 2020 You are welcome, James! I am happy that we got it appearing! Hopefully, with some tweaking you will find a good compromise 1 Quote
