Hello,

I have just bought the CRJ-200 and I haven't could test it because it crash as soon as is started. I was testing your program test in order to verify if my computer was valid. All worked ok and I obtained good fps: around 43 in external views and 35 in 3D cokpit.

However once the CRJ was installed I charged the plane and few seconds later the program crashed. Here is the content of the crash_log file:

Unhandled exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (C0000005)

Flags=0, Address = 0x00438007

 0) GET_sim_aircraft_parts_acf_gear_deploy(void *, float *, int, int) + 103 (XPDataRefs_expressions.h:263) (X-Plane.exe + 229383)

 2) 0x77b79ed2 (ntdll.dll + 237266)

 3) 0x77b79ea5 (ntdll.dll + 237221)

My computer is a Q6600 quad core 2.4ghz, 4 Gb RAM and HD 5770 ATI 1Gb.

-Operating System: Windows 7 ultimate 64 bits

-X-Plane version: 9.69

-installed 3rd-party plugins: REX for Xplane

Thank you

Looks like another plugin conflict to me.

Can you try proceeding as laid out in the sticky thread and try if CRJ works without REX present?

Hi Philipp,

I have installed the Xplane demo and the CRJ runs fine. It is clear that is a problem related with some plugin or something like that. Tomorrow (here is too late) I will test installing the different plugins that I have in order to determine the guilty :)

By the way congratulations for this plane. It's amazing. As far as I've could fly was incredible.

Hello again,

FYI

I was testing every plugin I had installed and finally I could find that the guilty was the XPSaitek plugin for Saitek Radiopanel and Multipanel and Switchpanel devices. As soon is activated Xplane crash in few seconds.

I don't know the reason, all others planes work fine with this plugin. This is a pity because these controls are very useful in order to add realism to the simulation.

This is most likely the same problem that prevents loading with the x737 or XPUIPC present.

Fix is underway.

However, the Saitek panels will be of no use with the CRJ anyway, as they can only write to the standard datarefs, which will most likely confuse the CRJ logic and lead to unpredictable results.

If I might interject, and this is not saying it will work for everyone but I fly everything with my panels.....they are my cockpit, I do not generally fly by mouse and I have found the following............

I have been running the crj with my Saitek panels quite well.....the radio stack works well apart from the com 1 and 2 which have to be done with the mouse in the cockpit. I can chance crs transponder and na1 and 2. The multi panel (autopilot) is fine also for autopilot controls on/off hdh alt spd climb ias v/s flaps etc all fine (and for the cheaters out there it adds an autothrottle to the plane) and the swicth panel is fine for lighting controls gear up and down. I still need to do all the steps for startup as instructed in the tutorial but the panels and plane with fly fine together fine as far as I have encountered. I saw one crash which could have been down to the panels and a dataref issue but after i cleaned up my custom scenery folder a few days ago I have not seen any issue at all. I will let know if I see any crashes but so far I am having a blast with the crj and the panels! Video to follow!

I dont use that plugin for the panels you linked to...... I use Sandy B's one for the switch panel where the alt bat etc dont function but for landing lights strobes beacon it does. The plugin I use for the other panels (radio and autopilot) is found here  http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=9116 and was written by Tom Sedge. It works as I described before with the CRJ and I flew with it last night for example...........good luck....the panels will work and dont crash my sim.....

Cheers

yes, I use Sandys Switch Panel Plugin, but pressing anything will make funny stuff to the CRJ, like flashing all lights for a second. I don't think it is really compatible. I just leave it untouched while flying the CRJ in order not to send "false" signals to the plane.
