CTD with Vulkan on a fresh install

Hi, just bought the Plane, works nicely in 11.41 but crashes when loading it in 11.50b3. I can't really tell why, just that an assertion failed. See logs below.

The XPlane install is fresh with no other plugins installed.

Any help would be much appreciated

Always treat beta's as test versions.  Not release candidates. Expect problems.  But thanks for the report.

Hi, it seems to crash with the same error on my system when starting a new flight with the TBM900 selected. I am currently on X-Plane 11.50b4.

Hi, I kind of fixed it by launching in windowed mode each time i load in (so before starting the flight), no idea why that works, but for me it does. Took me a while to find that out

 

oh would you mind sharing your system specs? I have a feeling this is hardware related because even after a full reinstall I get those errors. 

mine are:

i5-4690k 

Radeon R9 390

16gb RAM 

 

Edit: ok so I looked into your log and we both have AMD cards with the same driver version, I guess that could be it.

Launching in windows mode did indeed work. Thanks.
