Vespa Posted December 28, 2019 Report Posted December 28, 2019 (edited) During a flight from LIEA to LIPE, at 24.000 ft, a horn started sounding...but no warning lights in cockpit...after few seconds a failure light appear on pneumatic panel....any hint about what happened? Thanks Edited December 28, 2019 by Vespa Quote
Litjan Posted December 28, 2019 Report Posted December 28, 2019 My guess is that you forgot to switch on the air conditioning packs - it is hard to tell because only a very small portion of your panel is in your screenshot. If the cabin altitude becomes excessive, the pressurization will fall back into standby mode - but even that will not help, as there is no source to build air pressure in the cabin. This is pretty much the scenario that caused the crash of the Helios 552 flight. Cheers, Jan Quote
Vespa Posted December 29, 2019 Author Report Posted December 29, 2019 Thanks a lot Jan, I'll double check the pneumatic panel settings next flight. Interesting the reference to the Helios 552 flight crash. 1 Quote
