flyinhawaiian Posted May 5, 2011 Report Posted May 5, 2011 Heinz's 787, any good? Looks pretty, and the marketing of "Officially Licensed Boeing Product" is inciting, but is the ACF worth the money (even with the 25% discount the org is offering)? Quote
flyinhawaiian Posted May 5, 2011 Author Report Posted May 5, 2011 Well after looking at it a bit more, I'm gonna decide against it. Interior seemed a little flat and, dare I say, generic. One thing I will ABSOLUTELY compliment this site on is the quality of products available for purchase. There isn't a file I wouldn't want to have from X-Aviation, but unfortunately my bank account prevents me from acting on that. Quote
FlorianR Posted May 5, 2011 Report Posted May 5, 2011 I own it, but rarely fly it. The textures are bland, with no dirt or grunge. The cockpit and interior look ok, but nothing compared to screenshots of upcoming XA planes. The cockpit feels more like a 3d room with most knobs, switches, and buttons 2d. On the other hand, the exterior model looks fairly good, and as far as I could tell, the performance is pretty good. If you want to buy it or not is really your choice; I just bought it to have a 787 . Quote
Kesomir Posted May 5, 2011 Report Posted May 5, 2011 I already own the Abacus 787, don't need another. Quote
samen Posted May 5, 2011 Report Posted May 5, 2011 I wish Airbus would complete the B787 he was working on a few years ago Quote
karingka Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 It is pretty plain. The gear isn't very detailed, neither are the textures. The cockpit is ok, but again, plain textures. Quote
MaidenFan Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 The payware market for X-Plane is ridiculous. For $25 bucks, you can get a really nice aircraft from X-Aviation. For the same price, you can get a half-way done airliner. I've wasted SO much money on paywares that simply are not worth it. Heinz's 787 is fun to mess around in, but it's not a "pro SIM." Save your money for CRJ and the SAAB. Quote
