rickypro Posted April 10, 2019 Report Posted April 10, 2019 (edited) I just purchased the TBM 900 and love what I see so far but my brakes don't seem to work at all. I have "regular effort" brakes mapped to the trigger on my flight stick. The yellow bars crawl up the sides of the screen and the animated pedals depress when I activate the trigger but the plane never slows down at all. I did a search and saw other having trouble with this in earlier versions but I have version 1.1.8 because I just bought it a couple of hours ago. Any help would be appreciated. Edit: When I assign a button to brakes maximum effort and push it all it does is turn the parking brake knob to "on" The yellow braking bars on either side of the screen don't go up at all. I also have another button assigned to braking normal effort and like stated above, even when the bars go up the plane never slows down. The plane even starts rolling on uneven surfaces without the engine started and the brakes wont slow it down at all. Thanks! Edited April 10, 2019 by rickypro Quote
Goran_M Posted April 10, 2019 Report Posted April 10, 2019 You're right, this was resolved several versions ago. Disconnect your hardware and start the engine. Use the mouse to power up the engine. Assign the brakes to a key. Let the aircraft roll, then press your B key to see if it slows down to a stop. If it does, then there is some kind of double assignment on your hardware. Posting your log file might help us determine what might be causing it as well. Quote
rickypro Posted April 10, 2019 Author Report Posted April 10, 2019 (edited) Thanks for the suggestion. I just tried it twice and still not working. I loaded up xplane with my flight stick and all controllers disconnected. Started plane with mouse. Had regular braking set to b button and max braking set to v. Plane started rolling and when I push b the pedal animation works and the yellow braking bars crawl up the sides of the screen but they have no stopping affect whatsoever. Second attempt started sim on runway with engine already running. Brakes pressed and yellow braking bars showing on side of monitor. I pressed b to release brakes and plane starts rolling. Push b again and nothing. Both times when I push v for maximum braking the yellow bars don't go higher than regular braking and all it does is rotate the parking brake knob. For the 2nd attempt I deleted all my Saitek plugins too. I am attaching my log.txt file. Log.txt Edited April 10, 2019 by rickypro Quote
Goran_M Posted April 10, 2019 Report Posted April 10, 2019 Can you completely remove FlyWithLUA and try again? Quote
rickypro Posted April 10, 2019 Author Report Posted April 10, 2019 It works with mouse only and NO FlyWithLua! If I reinstall the plane and then install Lua after do you think it will work or am I going to have to go without FlyWithLua? I really like it so hopefully there is a way to still use it. Thanks! Goran_M Posted April 10, 2019 Report Posted April 10, 2019 As I suspected, something in FlyWithLUA is causing your problem. Go through your FlyWithLUA stuff and make sure nothing in there is controlling the brakes. With FlyWithLUA removed, it will work with your hardware connected. Quote
rickypro Posted April 10, 2019 Author Report Posted April 10, 2019 Thank you! It was the rollover brake script where it shows the yellow bars on the screen when brakes are pressed. I don't need that script anyway. Thanks again for the prompt response and great work on this plane. I am loving it! Quote
