TBM900: Problems after the update to 1.1.7

Hello,

i have the following problems after the update to 1.1.7:

- the background of the PFDs is black instead of coloured

- MFD: there is a white square instead of a plane anlong the route

The differences can be seen in the pictures.

I made an update of my  graphics card driver, but it is still the same.

Do you have anything assigned to any part of the avionics in any hardware profile?

If so, you will need to remove thew assignment.

Otherwise, this may be something for Laminar to look at, as we're using their G1000.

No, i changed nothing, i only made the update to 1.1.7 .

Before the update, everything was fine.

Is it possible to reinstall version 1.1.6 ?

Only if you have the original 1.1.6 folder

Can you post a log.txt file?

I tried other planes with the g1000, everything is ok. The mistakes are only to see at the TBM900 1.1.7 .

I did not make a backup of the version 1.1.6. I tried to reinstall with TBM900-windows-installer-exe file of

the version 1.1.6, but it was not successfull,  because this version is not longer available.

this looks quit interesting after long time what I've seen before... Can you post LOG.txt not TBM log? Hope your LOG still exists, not been overwrite.

There is a LOT going on in your plugins folder.  

I am particularly concerned about this line:

Loaded: C:\Spiele/X-Plane 11/Resources/plugins/TerrainRadar/64/win.xpl (drgluck.plugins.terrain_radar).

 

The G1000 in the TBM has it's own terrain radar, and the one you have installed could be conflicting with the one in the TBM.  Can you remove it and try the TBM again?

I removed the TerrainRadar folder, but it is just the same.

Should i try to unistall x-plane completely and install it from the beginning?

But i would prefer an other solution.

Don't uninstall.  Leave your original copy. 
Install a clean copy somewhere else on your PC.  No scenery and no plugins.  Then try again.

If it works, please post back.

Ok, i will do it, only x plane 11 and the TBM.

I have exactly the same problems (black background and white squares), and in addition, if I select to turn on the synthetic terrain in the PFD, -plane immediately crashes to windows without updating the log files.

Now i made a clean copy on a different drive, only x-plane 11 without any plugin and the TBM 1.1.7.

i was very hopefull, but nothing changed. Still the same problem.

I’ll forward your log to Saso and see what can be done. It’s very unusual, and the only thing I can think of is something with amd.

The question is: i did not have any trouble with version 1.1.6 on my system,  but why with version 1.1.7 ?

OK, AMD is perhaps not the best for x-plane, but until now i had no problems.

Unfortunately, it IS something to do with AMD drivers.  Sometimes, when bugs get fixed, we take 2 steps forward, but then take 1 step back.  Saso is working on an update for the AMD users and should be out very soon.  

Many apologies for this, but it's not something we thought would happen.

I have the same problem. Since updating to 1.1.7, the sim crashes to display without any warning while loading the TBM900. That also happens when I start the sim with another aircraft and switch to the TBM. Re-installing the plane failed also and now I have nothing. System has a i7-7700 CPU.

Success! Follow-up to my previous post on this topic. I upgraded my 1080Ti drivers and all my issues including the above and synth terrain have been resolved, and I have a  triple monitor 1080p setup. Hope this helps others, and now to try and see if this also fixed my Pocket Rocket SYN TER problem.....  Awesome aircraft and thanks to the TBM900 team and everyone who contributes to the forums.

Everything is fine now, the problems are solved.

Now I can enjoy again this fantastic plane......
