kjhkent Posted November 3, 2018 Report Posted November 3, 2018 Can someone explain how to retain battery power in flight. I have a fully charged battery with minimal ancilary systems working. The generator is set to Main in flight. I start with the ground power unit. Despite this after a short while I start lose my displays and get a low battery warning. Quote
RobW05 Posted November 3, 2018 Report Posted November 3, 2018 I had a low Battery warning during flight and was wondering why the main generator would not load the battery. Pilot error, I had disconnected the GPU after start but forgot to put the switch back from GPU to Bat. :-) Better check that twice. Quote
kjhkent Posted November 3, 2018 Author Report Posted November 3, 2018 You may well be right, I might have done the same. Its interesting to have a look at the electrical systems in the drop down menu. Quote
kjhkent Posted November 3, 2018 Author Report Posted November 3, 2018 So installed Version 1.09. Updated to Xplane 11.30 b2 ( I know unsupported) Quick flight around Las Vegas. All went perfectly. Its a real challenging aircraft to fly. Landing with no damage. The battery issue did not occur. Will try a long flight tomorrow. Quote
