As the title of the thread states, when you enable the "Draw Vortices" option in the side panel, anything that's placed against clouds in the sky starts rhythmically flashing. This is in the current version of x-plane (not beta). Here's a demo video:

Yes, the "draw vortices" will be removed in a future update. It was a "fringe hack" of X-Plane technology that worked for a while. It won´t be needed with the new particles getting introduced with 11.30.
