Xpillo Posted October 29, 2018 Report Posted October 29, 2018 It's just a doubt with the oil pressure level ok, I see that it never drops to 0 the pressure level, it's always between 9-10. Is this oil pressure correct? Note: My doubt arose when I saw a cold start of this TBM900 Real and the oil pressure was 0. Quote
skiselkov Posted October 29, 2018 Report Posted October 29, 2018 It comes down to wind and if the engine is windmilling. Any small rotation of the compressor can turn the oil pump and produce a little bit of residual oil pressure. That having been said, I know there a little bit of fine-tuning we can do at the very low engine rpm bands to get the oil pressure all the way to zero. We'll look into this later down the line. Quote
Xpillo Posted October 29, 2018 Author Report Posted October 29, 2018 (edited) thanks for your reply : skiselkov NOTE: short video of the engine in cold and with the protection of the propellers for any type of rotation by the wind. Edited November 1, 2018 by Xpillo Quote
Xpillo Posted October 31, 2018 Author Report Posted October 31, 2018 (edited) HI, Tonight I started a new flight with the TBM900 and my surprise was when looking at the oil pressure, not understanding well what happened, but now it shows well the oil pressure = 0/1..... I went crazy or what happens?? EDIT: I have been able to verify that eliminating the winds in the weather conditions setting the oil pressure is set to 0-1. Therefore the oil pressure data is linked to the winds. Any wind existence the oil pressure shows between 9 -10-12 etc … this is how the oil pressure is simulated with weather conditions.
