Connecting two FPL waypoints

Hi

First of all, absolutely in love with the TBM!
A quick question. How do I connect two waypoints that don't have a magenta line between them?
Had to enter the approach procedures a bit later, and it didn't connect the new waypoint. BLOCC -> GSO

 

Also, what is that Green and black ring growing and shrinking on the map?

I had to dig through the official G1000 manual a bit (I really hope we get more cool shit from the g1k, there's a lot of really awesome features/tools missing!) The green circle = total endurance range. Dashed green circle = Time/endurance until reserve fuel (this is supposed to have a box at the top with the actual time left). If you start using reserve fuel the green circle turns yellow.

So true! I have tried reading through the G1000 manual too, but I need to find the time to, cause there's a lot to read!

It was just weird that the circle was not around the plane (bug?)

Yeah. I've had the circles and the maps themselves de-sync from my position multiple times and it seems to happen when theres more stuff on the MFD to display. When I was flying over the ocean neither the small maps nor the MFD ever de-synced.

Hi,

For your 1st problem, you need to activate the approach to sync the remaining waypoints because your next one belongs to the approach.

For your problem regarding the rings not being centered on the aircraft, that's a stock G1000 bug that we have no way to fix. Recommend you file that one with Laminar. Best reproduce it on one of their planes (e.g. stock C172 /w G1000), so they can't claim it's something we broke.
