LIGHTNINGstruktz Posted July 19, 2017 Report Posted July 19, 2017 Hi, I am not sure whether I am experiencing correct autothrottle behaviour. The problem appears to be when the plane has to level off and maintain a certain speed. The A/T appears to struggle to operate smoothly. It appears to 'chase' the speed by idling the throttle and then spooling the engines to around 91% N1 when the planes slows around 20kts below the desired speed. This action becomes continuous. I'm not sure whether this a true representation of the actual A/T system found on the real aircraft or whether it could be something the team could have a look at. Thanks Edgaras Quote
Litjan Posted July 19, 2017 Report Posted July 19, 2017 This is due to you levelling off in descent while in VNAV PTH. The VNAV descent is not fully working correctly yet... so if you see this revert to MCP SPD or some other mode except for VNAV. Jan Quote
TDPlane Posted July 24, 2017 Report Posted July 24, 2017 I'm struggling too with a suboptimal VNAV, still ... On a flight from KATL09L to KMCO17L I ended up with a T/C right after a T/D ... Quote
Litjan Posted July 24, 2017 Report Posted July 24, 2017 That is no surprise, nozhong was done on VNAV. Jan Quote
