Hi, I am confused and hope someone can help.

I have SMP4 installed on both my X-Plane 10 and X-Plane 11 copies.

I am chuffed to bits with the results on X-Plane 10 (Cessna 172 ant EGKK) cloudy and raining (a true reflection from the weather at present here in the UK). However, the C172 at EGKK in X-Plane 11 shows totally different weather (Sunny with a few scattered clouds).

Real weather connector shows up under Skymax in the plugins for both XP10 and XP11. I am convinced Real weather connector is not injecting weather information on XP11, Is there a way I can check whether Real Weather Connector is doing what it is supposed to be doing?

P.S. Yes I have Real Weather Connector 1.1 installed

I'm not sure if RWC is XP11 compatible yet. Can someone please help?

Regards

WIll

I thing i found the answer myself. RWC is not what I thought (A Weather Engine). You either need a 3rd party add-on or use the X-Plane 11 "Match Real Weather Conditions" option.

What a shame as I'll probably have to invest in XENVIRO (or is there a Weather Engine):o

Can someone can recommend to compliment SMP4 and RWC?.

Eagerly awaiting your response.

RWC and SMP work fine with X-Plane 11. RWC uses real METAR information downloaded from NOAA's servers.

If you're seeing problems, we'll need more details - please post exactly where you're flying, along with your log.txt and metar.rwx files and we can tell you what's going on.

One thing to try is turning off RWC's "never change visible weather" option. It's possible that updated weather information was received after X-Plane started up, and was suppressed due to this option being on.

You might also try setting RWC to "always" mode. XP11 is still in beta, so if there are issues with how it downloads METAR data itself, this setting will bypass it and use our own downloaded data instead.
