Engine 1 starts when APU turned on

Hey fellow pilots,

 

Admittedly I am a relative newb to flying this aircraft, but have done some homework on systems, checklists, etc.  Recently, when I start in cold in dark my number 1 engine starts when APU is powered on.  So as I go through the cold and dark procedures I already have an engine that is powered up.  What am I doing wrong or am I pushing something that is causing this?  please help.

Hi,

thats a new one, but I would guess that you somehow turned your engine start levers to "run" and possibly turn the engine start switches to GRD - it could be that they are erroneously mapped to some button or key you are pressing?

Try to follow the tutorial videos on this and see where your procedure differs...
