brucie1dog Posted July 16, 2016 Report Posted July 16, 2016 Was flying from Memphis to Las Vegas. Suddenly over Northern Arkansas X-Plane quit. I have enclosed the log text. Anyone have an idea what caused this crash? Thanks, Andy Log.txt
JGregory Posted July 16, 2016 Report Posted July 16, 2016 The Log.txt does not indicate the specific reason for why X-Plane quit. However, this line in the Log.txt file is a hint as to what the reason probably is... "SkyMaxx Pro: WARNING! CPU free memory at 33148 KB. X-Plane may crash due to lack of memory. Close other applications, reset your settings, or remove memory-intensive add-ons such as photo-scenery." Meaning... you are exceeding your hardware memory limits.
brucie1dog Posted July 16, 2016 Author Report Posted July 16, 2016 I appreciate the help Jim. Don't have photo scenery on that I know of. Are you speaking graphics card memory or just the regular memory? Sorry I am not the most technical person in the world. Andy
JGregory Posted July 16, 2016 Report Posted July 16, 2016 The Log.txt line that I posted indicates CPU memory, which is "regular" RAM. Many things can have an affect on memory usage.
brucie1dog Posted July 16, 2016 Author Report Posted July 16, 2016 I have 16GB. Who knows! MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014) Processor 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7 _ Turbo Boost to 3.8 GHz Memory 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048 MB Was only run hung the Apple Mail Program and Safari
JGregory Posted July 16, 2016 Report Posted July 16, 2016 Andy, I'm only trying to explain what the Log.txt said. I cannot diagnose your system, sorry.
brucie1dog Posted July 16, 2016 Author Report Posted July 16, 2016 Jim, I appreciate the information you have given me. Thanx, Andy
