I downloaded it put it in the liveries folder and extracted the file but it won't work when I click on the livery in the game.

Working ok for me

Double check in the IXEG livery folder you have, American (Currant) folder, inside that, objects folder + ds store file, inside the objects folder, 3 .png files

Ohh and reboot the sim after adding a livery etc (sounds obvious but sometimes can be overlooked)

I did remove my ds store file from the objects folder but works fine for me with or without it
