Yes I know it, in our VA  we got active the called "Forgotten Fleet" and the russian fleet who pass by our country are represented on it, at now Antonov AN24, Yakolev YAK-40, Tupolev TU-154, are active and the your develop of the Ilushin IL-14 will be there too, by the other hand the old school navigation is more close to the real simulation in my opinion, and those models have a very accurate work, thank´s to Felis and all the others developers like you who make it possible, regards.

Big thank you for this- I tried a few years ago with the IL14 but the instruments didn't load properly but this one is a lovely piece of work and it's an interesting aircraft.  It seems to be very unstable in pitch- does it need the Plane Experimental Flight Mode?  I also noticed the elevator and rudder trim tabs move well beyond the usual operating range (at one point they were doubled back over the horizontal tailplane!) and are incredibly sensitive to inputs from my Saitek trim wheel.  That aside this is a great adaptation and treasure- thanks again!

It is indeed very nose heavy, either with and without experimental flight model, and quite unstable at low speed.
I have to go in deep in the load configuration and CoG computatiton to understand why this happens.

On the Yak-40, which had quite the same problem, I've fixed that changing the scripts in the Custom Avionics file.
For this plane I haven't tried yet.
Unfortunately the original author does not answer to the mail (although he is alive). But, I've discovered that he is not the only one with this attitude, so I can't really blame him.

I'll see what I can do, but at the moment I'm not sure when I'll have time for the Il-14.

Thanks CaptainSpaulding- would be very interested to hear what you find.  I notice that the elevator trim tabs double back on themselves- the trim seems to work so not sure it it's just the way the tabs themselves are set up on the model...

Hello,

I think it is a very cool model but I am too having some problems with it. I have added landing lights, taxi lights, nav lights and strobes so now those works in XP11. The autopilot doesn't seem to work for me though and I have no idea of how to fix it. What I have tried so far hasn't worked. Also the trim tabs (all) seems very sensitive in a way, but also a bit limited. I could probably figure out how to fix that though.

I have also emailed the original author, but might not get a response either. We'll see. :)

I've been playing around with it for a couple of hours. Got the trims to work ok, or at least much better. I am a novice so I am learning as I go along :) Still no luck with the auropilot though.

Hi.  What did you do to improve the trim?  I haven't had much luck with the auto pilot either, even when I had the plane on course and straight and level before turning it on.  I'm pretty sure I'd set everything up OK on the autopilot panel.  The IL14 certainly likes to keep us on our toes!

Hi Captn.

I wouldt like to thank you for the opportunity to download the Il-14 ver. X-plane11. It was my favorite Plane back in Ver 9 and because i missed X-Plane10  it was a long Way to find Your Download-link.

I have no clue, what is going on at the .org but it seems as it is their Goal to sabotage X-Plane ......... . ??????

Thank You Thank You Thank You

In my case they managed do succeed.
Thanks to the horrible and unpleasant attitude of the .org I've ceased using and buying X-Plane, at least for now.
I've tried to warn Laminar about this problem but I'm under the impression that they don't give a damn.

At the end of the day I can live without X-Plane... can Laminar live without customers?

Best,
Cap.S.

Could you correct external lightning, please?  The plane lights don't lighten the ground, nor the taxiing lights, nor the landing lights. HDR is "On".

This retro-plane is awesome.

Dear Captain !

Fortunatly, I've found you on this website !
I've also a problem to understand Xp.org...
Many years ago, the marvellous iL-14 from FELIS came to me !
And since the V11 version of X Plane, I've had to let down this great plane. Recently she appears in my wish list about necessary modifcations to remind all the pleasure to fly with her.
Unable to modify the navigation system for me, I'm not a sepecialist of this kind of work.
But ! You are a specialist !
Many thanks for that.

Thank you for reviving the model! A beautiful retro airplane, almost everything works.:)

Only the autopilot does not function on version XP 11.55r2 (Win 10), after turning on, it does not withstand roll and pitch, although all the bars are reduced and the autopilot is turned on.
