About This File

This is a livery-paint for the Leading Edge Simulations Douglas DC3/C47.

Paint made by Leen "Flybike" de Jager

This paint depicts (more or less) the DC3/C47, FZ658, Royal Newfoundland Air Force.

Mind the strange "roundel" on the fuselage, this was a political protest on an air-force plane, and caused some fuzz in 1948/9

The original model had wing-registration, due to the limitations of the texture-mapping of this model, this could not be reproduced. ( grrrrrrrrr..........!!)

The skin-set includes cockpit and cabin textures as well.

Pay attention to the difference between the day and night-cabin-textures.

How to install:

Just unzip FZ658_Newfoundland.zip into a temp. folder, and start reading the readme file

This livery comes without pilots.

If you prefer to have the little guys at the yokes, just remove the pilot.png file from the FZ658_Newfoundland/objects - folder

Have fun - ;)

You have been creating some amazing paint for the 3 lately Leen. Keep it up! How about some more U.S. based paints and airlines? That would be great! Thanks for your work!

Thanks for your kind words , I start blushing.

Airborne Imaging was US based

Braniff was,

Quetzecoatl was

Virgin Islands was

Now I am working on the mother of all DC3`s the "DST" Douglas Sleeper Traveller ( wich was re-batptised to DC3 later on) flown by American Airlines.

That makes five out of ten ( or eleven ) being representing the US.

Not bad for an European based texture-artist isn`t it?

Cheers

Leen
