  1. For that price you could build a far superior DESKTOP PC.....I know pc building may seem intimidating and time consuming to many and lots of people think mobile pre-made options are smart, small, simple and cool!..BUT THEY ARE NOT!...and X-plane certainly wont gain much from using ANY such half baked mobile platform over a dedicated desktop PC.....Sorry if i sound so to the point and sharp! All in ones usually use the cheapest components, 6GB of memory means nothing if its slow and cheap rubbish....plus 6 gig is NOTHING these days....the whole point of using a 64 gig software on windows or x-plane is to FULLY utilise LOTS of memory....not just 6 gigs...think more memory is better!..Well up to 64 gig anyway! In my honest opinion you will save yourself a lot of money and frustration by Not purchasing that system!..The Mobile GPU NVIDIA GeForce GT 620M is well known as a great GPU for what is expected of it in its MOBILE environment!....But for HUGELY demanding software like FSX or X-plane its really not up to the job unless you are happy lowering all your settings to the point XP10 looks more like XP9 or even lower!.. 2 GIG Mobile GPU's are nothing compared to a fully capable desktop pc card like a 2 gig GTX 670...or 680...and lets not even mention the latest Nvidia GTX 780! But seriously mate....forget laptop/mobiles as a worthwhile investment when it comes to serious flight sims like XP10...Am on my 4th DESKTOP pc build..an old i7-920..oc @ 4.2ghz..and a Nvidia GTX 670 2gb GPU..and am using a 30 in 2560x1600 res monitor and already am seeing lots of potential issues that demand a better CPU/GPU combination to fully appreciate the awesomeness of XP10....Hopefully the future updates will address the performance issues of XP 10.21....Because i cant afford anymore upgrades for a long time yet!..BUT SERIOUSLY STAY AWAY FROM LAPTOPS AND MOBILES!..they may be great for a few things..But the VAST majority are rubbish at serious gaming!
  2. Oh dear ANOTHER electrical problem for the Dreamliner as Qatar Airways pulls plane out of service 'after smoke reported near electrical compartment'... Plus an oven overheated on an air India Dreamliner this week.... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2379183/Dreamliner-nightmare-continues-Boeing-Qatar-Airways-pulls-plane-service-smoke-reported-near-electrical-compartment.html
  3. For a first plane its really very good!...you have skills young man..keep it up and thanks!
  4. Great video.....very professional editing and great sequences!
  5. My first sim was Flight sim 5.1..Microsoft......and my first experience of X-plane was at a friends house on XP4!...Today's xp10 is just so amazing and realistic!..its good to keep things in perspective...Makes you wonder if someone in 20-30 years will post similar comparisons of xp10 to xp15!
  6. Looks very good James!...Cant fault that set-up matey!.......But unless your filthy rich, the TITAN isnt that much faster in real terms than the much cheaper GTX 780!.....But after saying that..X-plane 10 is very hungry for video ram......so you may see a slight increase in performance if you do decide to go with the titan, though without someone doing the tests its hard to tell...... if your taking advantage of the titans 6 gig of memory........ie your using a 2560x1600 res monitor or multiple monitors...then the titan will def help assuming your cpu is overclocked! I assume you are overclocking your CPU?...preferably to at least 4.8-5 ghzs to take advantage of the TITAN?...otherwise you may be bottlenecked with the slower cpu at anything less than a 4.6ghz CPU... I use a GTX 670, 30in monitor at 2560x1600 res and a i7 920 DO steeping CPU @ 4.2ghz on air....from my own personal tests i would say if you could get your CPU at 4.8+ ghz and with a GTX 780/TITAN under the hood also then you will be in X-plane heaven.....especially with that moby and huge amount of ram! Keep us posted whatever you decide so we can all see your results.....Good luck, i always get excited whenever i build my next pc upgrade!
  7. Very strange that these events STILL plague the Dreamliner....I love this airplane,..it looks good and on paper it is good!...but if events like this continue to occur it will soon be nicknamed the screamliner!....heaven knows what would of happened if this electrical problem occurred at 35,000ft! The electrical systems are very different on the 787 from other more conventional aircraft, the Dreamliner uses far more electricity, instead of the usual pneumatics, to power airplane systems such as hydraulics, engine start and wing ice protection...it even has 17 small substations that provide load to local loads as needed!...all this electricity is generated by extra generators on each engine and stored in lightweight sophisticated lithium ion batteries.... earlier commercial airplane models, such as the 777, 747 and MD-11, used nickel cadmium (NiCd) batteries, which are heavier, larger and less powerful than the Lithium based ones. Oh...the 787 does NOT need any ground power to start its APU and systems, it is fully able to operate without electrical ground support so i doubt this issue has anything to do with ground support electrical power issues... Also the 787 completed 5,000 hours of flight testing and an equal amount of test time on the ground. That testing demonstrated that the aircraft performed as designed....so why these electrical events are suddenly occurring is anyone's guess! .....I am sure they will be resolved..but at this late stage of the game its not doing Boeing any favours...Fingers crossed they soon overcome this and the 787 takes its rightful place as a remarkable and innovative aircraft.....Fingers crossed!
  8. Thank you for this great scenery package Chris!
  9. WOW!!!...Unbelievable details.....looks stunning!.......Goodbye FSX..hello X-plane!
  10. Looking very neat and accurate!....great skills!
  11. Wow..what a great looking aircraft with excellent modelling skills/detail....looking very good sir!
