sundog Posted August 23, 2016 Report Share Posted August 23, 2016 "God rays" are only computed when the sun is in view. So when you rotate the camera like this to put the sun out of view, the god rays go away with the sun. I know, it would probably eat a ton of FPS but that flashing is quite annoying also. It's very disturbing when the whole sky changes color when you turn your head just a bit. sundog Posted August 24, 2016 Report Share Posted August 24, 2016 I'm pretty sure the community would be at my door with torches and pitchforks if god rays were active all the time - the FPS hit is noticeable.
