  1. Just curious if we can now have storms/clouds rendered way off in the distance now that 10.30 has increased the drawing distance? It would be amazing to see a storm 50/100nm off in the distance..
  2. Hi, So I run a script to make sure my two installs of Xplane are identical across multiple computers. How should I treat the install of SMP? Will it 'just work'? I'd like to have the settings for SMP the same on both machines.
  3. Any updates on the lights disappearing issue?
  4. If I'm not mistaken John was talking about the police car lights. The issue with the lights disappearing appears to have nothing to do with SMP.
  5. Yes I have SM. So not an issue for the script.
  6. I don't have the 'art.lua' script but still have this issue. I've come across another issue when flying during the day. Police cars with flashing lights don't look quite right (huge lights that can be seen in the distance). See the big blob in the pic below. There are other cars there but you can't seem unless you zoom in. The pic doesn't do it justice but if you try for yourself you'll see what I mean.
  7. So I have the following: FlyWithLuaHeadShakeHSAIR (AirTrack)MissionXPilotViewSky Maxx ProMaxx FXXChecklistLinuxTrackXSquawkBoxXRemoteFMCI also have HD Moon and Aerosoft lights
  8. I too am having this issue. Have 1.3 of your (fantastic) script, XSB and aerosoft lights.
  9. No one is pointing fingers and saying it's X-Plane's fault or SkyMaxx's fault - we just want the outcome. At least from my perspective, I'm not knowledgeable enough to know how XP communicates with SM Pro or vice versa. And I don't care. But we know we don't want blue clouds. So is there a solution that might be easy for you guy's to implement that might help us as users create configs we can share with each other? Other than taking screenshots? Perhaps a drop down list of configs for different scenarios in the settings screen of SMP? Is this a solution worth considering?
  10. I'm getting some strange graphics on the rotors when using the BK117 with SkyMaxx (see image). Im on the latest 1.3.1 SM and Max OS 10.9.2 Thoughts?
  11. I am also experiencing the second issue you mention.
  12. Just a quick question. God rays appear to light objects on the ground, this makes sense. However when the view is away from the sun the rays no longer appear and the ground is no longer lit. Is this intended? It doesn't feel natural. Cheers
  13. I don't have any 3D skills, let alone software, let alone spare time. ...and yes, incredible plugin. Really enjoying it. Can't wait to see where you take it.
  14. I'm trying to get some really (really) large clouds like this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cumulonimbus_cloud). I'm using static weather to avoid the freezes which works well for me. However, I seem to be limited to a cloud thickness of 2000 ft? ...and I assume this is an XPX limitation. edit-- Just read the comments on this post http://developer.x-plane.com/2013/12/skymaxx-pro-draws-in-3d-you-can-too/ -- Any thoughts, suggestions on getting large clouds?
  15. Tsetsoh - thanks. Will this work if I'm using the NOAA plugin?
  16. I thought this may be a nice feature to include in a future release. It would be nice to be able to save weather settings to file and be able to recall them as desired. This could include manual weather or live metar weather. For example, it would be great to be able to pull down some weather data during a storm, save it and fly it tomorrow when the weather may have changed. Or to be able to call up a custom low visibility approach weather file for practice. Any thoughts?
  17. Perhaps it's my settings. I've got distance for cloud drawing set to max, but it's not until I'm within a few miles of a storm can I see it. It must be my settings.
  18. Yes default clouds also go from dark to light instantly, I was hoping Skymaxx wouldn't! It's very unnatural and ruins the atmosphere. I am using real weather using the NOAA plugin.
  19. Firstly, great plugin. Hugely enhances the XPX experience. Well worth the money. I've noticed a couple of things: At dawn/dusk clouds change color rapidly, going from dark to light instantly Clouds sometimes abruptly appear in front of you.Now for the request. One thing I love when flying is being able to observe a distant thunderstorm in all it's glory. If visibility is good it would be awesome to have this feature rather than have a storm 'just appear' in front of you. Great work! Specs: Mac 10.9 XPX latest NOAA plugin
